According to history, her efforts paid off in 1914 when Woodrow Wilson, the 28th President of the United States, signed a proclamation declaring the second Sunday in May to be Mother’s Day.

In the US, the day was declared a national holiday. In India, as well as other countries, the concept immediately became well-liked.

Mother’s Day is a day to express gratitude to moms and mother-like people by giving them gifts, cards, and flowers. It is also a time for families to come together and celebrate the occasion.
