A legal battle has erupted over the conduct and transparency of a national-level recruitment examination, with a private technology firm taking a prominent YouTuber to court over alleged defamation.

Eduquity Technologies Pvt Ltd, the company responsible for conducting examinations for the Staff Selection Commission (SSC), has filed a defamation suit worth Rs 2.5 crore against YouTuber Nitish Rajput in a Delhi court. The case stems from a video in which Rajput questioned the SSC tender process and the selection of the examination vendor, citing information obtained through RTI replies and other documents.

In the video, Rajput pointed to changes in rules and flagged operational concerns, suggesting that such issues could potentially affect the fairness and integrity of the examination system. The company, however, has strongly objected to these claims.

Eduquity Technologies has alleged that the content shared in the video is misleading and has caused reputational damage to the firm. The company has sought financial compensation and has also urged the court to direct the removal of the video from public platforms.

Rajput, on his part, has refused to take the video down. According to reports by Moneycontrol, he has maintained that his analysis is based on verified public records and reflects the concerns raised by candidates across several examinations.

Nitish Rajput is a popular content creator with a significant digital presence, having over 47 lakh subscribers on YouTube and more than 1.5 million followers on Instagram. Born on October 4, 1989, in Sultanpur, Uttar Pradesh, he completed his BTech from Gautam Buddha Nagar University. His father ran an internet service provider firm, while his mother was a homemaker. He spent his early years in Rudrapur before his family later moved to Delhi.

While there is no officially confirmed figure regarding his wealth, several websites estimate his net worth to be between Rs 86.79 crore and Rs 127 crore.
