Yezdi Adventure vs rivals: price and specifications compared

Yezdi Adventure vs rivals: price and specifications compared

The Yezdi Adventure has recently seen a design refresh and a price revision.

The Yezdi Adventure recently saw a refresh, which prompted this specification comparison with its closest competitors. While the Himalayan 450 would be closer to the Yezdi Adventure in terms of intent, it’s actually the Scram 400 which is the closer rival in terms of price and specification, which is why we have considered it.

Yezdi Adventure vs rivals: engine and output

Adventure has the highest output and power-to-weight ratio

No bike here has a really stand-out output figure and it’s more or less in line with their displacements. The Scram 440 uses an old-school, air/oil-cooled, large thumper which is sure to have a different feel and exhaust sound to the other two, which use modern liquid-cooled engines.

Yezdi Adventure vs rivals: weight and dimensions

Yezdi is the heaviest here; Scram has the lowest seat height

Wheelbase1465mm1460mm1446mm

The Yezdi Adventure is by far the heaviest machine here, because topped up with fuel and all essential fluids, it will be quite close to the 200-kilo mark or perhaps even a little above it. While the Scram 440 too is a portly machine, its seat height is in the same ballpark as some commuter bikes, which will be a big plus point for shorter riders. At the same time, its ground clearance is quite respectable at 200mm. Unsurprisingly, the smaller Xpulse is the lightest machine here and it also has the shortest wheelbase, which should make it a manageable machine, despite its relatively tall 830mm perch.

Yezdi Adventure vs rivals: suspension, tyres and brakes

Scram 440 is the only one to use a 19-inch front wheel and alloys

Suspension hardware is one area where these three machines use identical setups although travel is unique to each bike. Where the Adventure and Xpulse 210 use a 21-inch wire-spoke wheel, the Scram uses a 19-inch alloy in keeping with its dual-purpose nature. In comparison to the Scram and Adventure, the Xpulse’s brakes might seem smaller but are commensurate with its lower kerb weight.

Yezdi Adventure vs rivals: features

Xpulse only bike to get colour TFT display

With its recent update, the Yezdi Adventure has now gained switchable traction control, a tilt-adjustable LCD display and an adjustable windscreen (although to change its position you need to unscrew some bolts, which is rather cumbersome). It already had switchable ABS and three ABS modes, which are carried forward as well. In comparison, the Scram 440 is a rather simple (but functional) machine with only switchable ABS. The Xpulse 210 is the only bike here to have a colour TFT display which can be paired to your smartphone via Bluetooth. And just like the Yezdi, it also gets 3 ABS modes.

Yezdi Adventure vs rivals: price

Adventure is the most expensive machine here

No surprise that the smallest bike here – the Xpulse 210 – is the most affordable. With its recent update, the Yezdi Adventure’s price goes up to Rs 2.27 lakh, which is quite a bit more than the RE Scram 440. It bears mentioning that Yezdi still sells the single-headlight Adventure priced between Rs 2.10 lakh – Rs 2.15 lakh, which is largely the same as this updated model, in mechanical terms.
