Operation Sindoor Live Updates: India Foils Pak's Bid To Target Military Infra In 15 Cities

Operation Sindoor Live Updates: The Indian armed forces foiled attempts by the Pakistani military to engage a number of military targets across 15 cities in Northern and Western India using drones and missiles on Thursday night, the Defence Ministry said, adding that a Pakistani air defence system in Lahore was also destroyed.

The Pakistani military attempted to target Awantipura, Srinagar, Jammu, Pathankot, Amritsar, Kapurthala, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Adampur, Bhatinda, Chandigarh, Nal, Phalodi, Uttarlai, and Bhuj. “The debris of these attacks is now being recovered from a number of locations that prove the Pakistani attacks,” the ministry said.

The developments came hours after India unleashed 24 missiles in 25 minutes on nine terror bases in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK), including Muridke and Bahawalpur – strongholds of terror groups Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), respectively – in response to the terror attack in Jammu & Kashmir’s Anantnag that claimed 26 lives on April 22. More than 70 terrorists were killed and over 60 wounded in the strikes, sources said. JeM chief Maulana Masood Azhar claimed that 10 members of his family and four of his aides were killed in the strikes.

On Wednesday, security drills were also held for “effective civil defence in the event of a hostile attack” across 244 districts.
