In its highest state of tune, this engine produces 120hp and 93.3Nm

Aimed at powering future Ducati middleweight models, the 890cc V-twin is the brand’s latest and lightest engine. It first powered the all-new Panigale V2 and Streetfighter V2 before trickling down into the Multistrada V2 as well.

According to a leaked document via a new VIN decoder published by the US National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration, Ducati will carry over the 890cc V2 to the Desert X and Monster

The latest V2 engine is Ducati’s lightest-ever V-twin (or L-twin, for Ducati purists), tipping the scales at just 54kg. It produces 120hp and 93.3Nm in the Panigale and Streetfighter models, while in the Multistrada, it makes 115.6hp and 92.1 Nm of torque. These three new 890cc Ducatis are slated to arrive on our shores later this year.
