Royal Enfield has updated its most affordable roadster, the Hunter, which now gets some aesthetic enhancements and two much-needed functional upgrades. Here are answers to some common questions you might have about this motorcycle. 

What updates does the Hunter 350 get for 2025?

The changes are much more comprehensive than they seem. For 2025, the Hunter 350 receives two major upgrades – a new rear suspension and a slipper clutch. 

Royal Enfield has swapped out the linear shocks for new progressive units. We have yet to test this updated bike on the road, but the Hunter’s rear suspension felt noticeably softer at the launch event. That, along with a new routing for the exhaust, has resulted in a 10mm increase in ground clearance.

The Hunter 350 is also the first Royal Enfield on the J-platform to feature a slip-and-assist clutch, making the clutch lever noticeably lighter to operate. This update directly addresses a common complaint and should make riding in heavy, stop-and-go city traffic far more effortless.

Along with these functional upgrades, Royal Enfield has equipped the Hunter 350 with an LED headlight, bringing it in line with its larger, more expensive bikes.

What is the seat height of the Hunter 350?

The updated Hunter 350 gets a redesigned seat, though it retains the same profile. Royal Enfield claims to have increased the foam density, which should improve long-distance comfort. Despite these changes, the seat height remains unchanged at an accessible 790mm.

Is the Royal Enfield Hunter 350 suitable for city commuting and occasional long-distance touring?

Yes, the Hunter 350 is well-suited for daily city commutes thanks to its compact dimensions, light handling, and now, a lighter clutch action. While it’s not primarily designed for long-distance touring, the updated seat and improved suspension should make occasional highway rides more comfortable. While it may not offer wind protection or luggage capacity of a dedicated tourer, it’s perfectly capable of handling weekend getaways or short highway runs.

How many colours are available with the updated Hunter 350?

There are six colours in total. Three of these are new, including two matte options and one with a gloss finish. However, these new colours are only available in the mid- and top-spec variants.

What is the price of the Updated Hunter 350?

The Hunter 350 continues to be the most accessible Royal Enfield and is available in six colours across three variants – Retro, Dapper and Rebel.

Retro: This variant’s price is unchanged at Rs 1.50 lakh. It comes with spoke wheels (tubed tyres) and a regular halogen headlight and is available only in black.

Dapper: Its price has risen by Rs 7,000 to Rs 1.77 lakh. This variant adds a new white shade while keeping the older matte white with blue colour.

Rebel: This top-end version now costs Rs 1.82 lakh, an increase of Rs 7,000.
