Premier League winner Jamie Vardy will play his final game for Leicester City on Sunday at the King Power Stadium against Ipswich.

The 38-year-old, who led the Foxes to the PL crown in the 2015-2016 campaign, will make his 500th appearance for the club in his final outing at the King Power.

Leicester close out their season with an away engagement at Bournemouth, but Vardy saw it fit to call time on his stint with the Foxes at home in front of adoring fans. Vardy, who has 199 goals for the Foxes, will also be targeting his 200th strike for his beloved Leicester during his final outing in blue.

LCFC stated that they have planned pre- and post-match celebrations to mark the legacy of their greatest ever player.

Vardy, who announced his departure from Leicester, hasn’t revealed his future plans yet.

“Football is a crazy world. You never know what’s going to happen,” Vardy said.

“I’ll keep going until my legs tell me I need to stop. My legs are fine,” he added.

“I’m doing a sport that I love, it’s what I’ve done since I was a little kid, so long may that continue,” the striker added.

Vardy won the Premier League Player Of The Year in the 2015-16 season for his contributions that helped his side clinch the coveted English top-flight title under the stewardship of Italian Claudio Ranieri. Vardy also claimed the PL Golden Boot in the 2019-2020 season for ending the campaign as the top scorer.

Leicester are placed in the penultimate position in the table this season and have already been confirmed as one of the teams that will face the drop alongside Ipswich and Southampton.
