E-commerce platform Flipkart has strengthened its warehouse operations with the launch a new fulfilment centre in Patna, Bihar.

The fulfillment centre will cater to a wide range of product categories, to improve delivery speed and volume across more than 1,000 pin codes in the region.
The 4.5 lakh square feet facility will support a network of over 6,600 sellers and generate over 1,100 job opportunities in the state of Bihar.
Commenting on the expansion, Hemant Badri, head of supply chain at Flipkart Group in a statement said, “This facility will create meaningful employment opportunities, foster local economic growth and reinforcing our dedication to inclusive development in the region. Flipkart’s investment in this new location aligns with its broader supply chain strategy to support growing consumer demand and enable faster deliveries in tier 2 and tier 3 markets.”
A fulfilment centre is a facility that manages and processes customer orders by storing inventory, picking, packing, and shipping products directly to buyers.
