Australia registered their second win over India in as many days in Antwerp on Sunday as the Kookaburras laboured to a 3-2 win over the Indian Men’s Hockey Team in the European leg of the FIH Pro League.
Australia netted through Tim Brand, Blake Govers and Cooper Burns to edge out India, who scored their goals through Sanjay and Dilpreet Singh.

India opened the scoring early in the game as Sanjay netted in the third minute of the game, but the Australians hit back immediately to level the proceedings through Tim Brand.
The Kookaburras got their noses in front moments later as Blake Govers nearly put a hole in the goal with a thunderous shot that whizzed past Indian custodian Krishna Bahadur Pathak. Cooper Burns added to the Australians’ lead to put his side two to the good.
Australia took a two-goal lead into the halftime break before India found a lifeline in the third quarter with Dilpreet Singh finding the back of he net as he put the finishing touches after being set up by Abhishek to set up a grandstand finish in the fourth quarter with just one goal between the sides.
The Aussies mimicked their triumph over the Indian side from Saturday, in which the Kookaburras came from a couple of goals down to triumph 3-2 too, to condemn Indian to heir sixth defeat on the trot in the European leg of the season and pushed India to eighth in the standings.
Indian have had to endure a testing time in the Europea leg of the tournament as they went down 1-2 to the Netherlands on the 7th of June at Amstelveen before succumbing to yet another 2-3 defeat at the hands of the hosts a couple of days later. Argentina compounded India’s woes with a 4-3 victory, before repeating the feat with another 2-1 win over the Men In Blue at the Wagener Hockey Stadium.
