Prices for the Hyundai Aura start at Rs 6.54 lakh for the base model and climb up to Rs 9.11 lakh for the range-topping variant. The Aura on-road price in India is expected to be around Rs 7.40 lakh-10.70 lakh, depending on the variant and city of registration.

Which Hyundai Aura variants are available in India?

AMT available in one variant only

The Aura currently comes in five trim levels: E, S, Corporate, SX, and SX(O). All Aura variants are available in a petrol-manual configuration, with only the SX trim offering an AMT option (dubbed SX+). Hyundai also sells the Aura with a CNG powertrain in all trims – barring the top-spec SX(O) – paired to a manual gearbox.

Which engine options does the Hyundai Aura get?

Petrol and CNG

Much like its rivals (except the Amaze), the Aura gets petrol and factory-fitted CNG powertrain options. It gets a 1.2-litre 4-cylinder engine developing 83hp and 114Nm when running on petrol, and is paired to either a 5-speed manual or 5-speed AMT. In the petrol-CNG variants, the output drops to 69hp and 95Nm, and it can only be had with a manual.

What is the Hyundai Aura fuel efficiency?

Claimed fuel efficiency figures for petrol-powered Aura variants stand at 17kpl for both the manual and AMT gearboxes. To put this into perspective, the Dzire achieves a claimed mileage of 24.79-25.71kpl, while the Amaze’s is around the 18.65-19.46kpl mark. As for the Aura CNG, its fuel efficiency is 28.4km/kg, which is higher than the Tigor CNG’s 26.49km/kg figure; however, the Dzire CNG’s 33.73km/kg mileage is the highest.

What features does the Hyundai Aura offer?

Quite well-equipped by segment standards

In typical Hyundai fashion, the Aura comes packed with goodies. Depending on the variant, you get features like an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment with wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto (can be made wireless using an OEM adapter), a 4-speaker sound system, automatic climate control, push button start/stop, a fast-charging USB Type-C port, front and rear power outlets, rear AC vents, a wireless charger, and more.

There’s a lot of safety kit on offer too, including 6 airbags as standard, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, hill-assist control, follow-me-home headlights, rear parking sensors, speed alerts, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and more.

When will the next-gen Hyundai Aura launch in India?

New Aura is coming, but precise details are under wraps

We recently reported that Hyundai is gearing up to launch 26 models in India by 2030, and an all-new generation of the Aura will be part of the Korean carmaker’s upcoming product onslaught. While specific details surrounding the next-gen Aura aren’t available at the moment, we expect it to sport numerous styling updates inside and out along with an expanded features list, with similar powertrain options.
