JoSAA Round 1 Counselling 2025: The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) will close the window for fee payment and online reporting for Round 1 of BTech counselling today. Candidates must complete the admission formalities, including payment of the seat acceptance fee, through the official portal at josaa.nic.in.
Round 1 seat allotment results were released on June 14 for students who qualified JEE Main (for NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs) and JEE Advanced (for IITs). Participation in JoSAA counselling is mandatory for admission to these institutes.
Candidates whose seat confirmations are pending must resolve the issues by June 19, 2025, and respond to any queries by June 20, 2025, to retain their allotment.
Those who select the ‘float’ or ‘slide’ option while accepting their Round 1 seat will remain eligible for Round 2 and beyond, allowing for upgradation based on preferences and seat availability. However, payment of the acceptance fee is compulsory at this stage to remain in the counselling process.

Candidates can follow these steps to complete their fee payment for JoSAA 2025 Round 1 counselling:
Step 1: Visit the official website at josaa.nic.in.
Step 2: Click on the login option available on the homepage.
Step 3: Enter your login credentials and submit.
Step 4: View your allotted seat and proceed with the payment of the counselling fee.
Step 5: Download and save the confirmation receipt for future reference.

Fee Payment & Document Verification Update
JoSAA has assured candidates that those who attempted fee payment before the deadline but encountered technical issues need not be concerned, as the NTA will resolve all such cases by June 19. Additionally, candidates must respond to any document verification queries by 5 PM on June 20 via the official JoSAA login portal.
Students are also advised to keep copies of all submitted documents and payment receipts, as they may be required during physical reporting at the allotted institutes.
