The SSC CHSL Exam 2025 has been postponed. Initially scheduled from September 8 to 18, 2025, the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will soon announce the new date for the Tier-1 exam. A total of 3131 vacant posts, including Lower Division Clerk, JSA, and Data Entry Operator, will be filled through SSC CHSL 2025. Lakhs of youth have applied for this recruitment.
The SSC CHSL Admit Card download link will be available on the official website, ssc.gov.in four to five days before the exam date. Candidates can obtain their hall ticket using their registration number and password.
SSC CHSL Exam Pattern 2025: Tier-1 Exam Pattern
The subjects for the SSC CHSL Tier 1 Exam include English Language (Basic Knowledge) with 25 questions for 25 marks, General Intelligence with 25 questions for 25 marks, Quantitative Aptitude with 25 questions for 25 marks, and General Awareness with 25 questions for 25 marks. In total, there are 100 questions carrying 100 marks.
This computer-based (Online CBT) exam consists of objective-type (MCQs) questions. The time limit is 60 minutes for general candidates and 80 minutes for PwD (Blind/Cerebral Palsy) candidates. There is a negative marking of 0.50 marks for each incorrect answer. The question paper is available in both Hindi and English, except for the English Language section, which is in English only.

Meanwhile, SSC has announced big reforms to modernise the exam system for millions of candidates across India. Chairman S. Gopalakrishnan, along with representatives from EdCIL, RailTel, C-DAC, and CBSE, inaugurated the new AADARSH (Advanced and Dependable Assessment & Resourceful Secured Hub) Pariksha Kendra (APK) on September 5. These centres will offer standardised, secure, and computer-based exams in candidate-friendly facilities across the country. Approximately 8,000 seats under APK will be utilised for the upcoming SSC exams.
The AADARSH centres will include ISO-certified infrastructure, air-conditioned halls, baggage areas, secured printing, AI-enabled CCTV with zero blind spots, biometric registration, a central command room, and on-site technical support, ensuring exams are smooth, safe, and tamper-proof.
