Delhi University is among the top universities in India and holds high rankings in many global lists. Hindu College has been the number one college in the country for the past two years, a position previously held by Miranda House, another DU college.
To gain admission to Delhi University, passing the CUET is required. Before the Common University Entrance Test, admission was based on 12th-grade marks and merit. Some DU courses also have separate entrance exams.

Rank 17 – Lady Shri Ram College For Women, Delhi — 69.87 score

Meanwhile, apart from the DU colleges taking seven of the top 10 spots, Kolkata’s Rama Krishna Mission Vivekananda Centenary College grabbed the sixth place in the NIRF 2025 best college category with a score of 76.74. St. Xavier`s College, Kolkata which got a score of 76.07 secured the eighth rank; PSGR Krishnammal College for Women situated in Coimbatore took the ninth spot with a score of 75.52; ad PSG College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore has been placed at rank 10 with a score of 73.15.
