The Monster has been one of the most iconic models in the Ducati line-up, and the 2026 model is expected to feature many significant changes compared to the outgoing model.
- Will get the all-new 890cc engine
- Revised styling with a larger fuel tank
- Expected to be lighter
We expect Ducati to call the new model the Monster V2. The bike will feature Ducati’s new 890cc V-twin engine, as seen in the new Panigale V2, Streetfighter V2 and Multistrada V2. The bike was also spotted testing a while back, where we could clearly see that it was not using the 937cc Testastretta motor. This 890cc V-twin is expected to put out between 115hp and 120hp. Other changes we can expect are a new subframe with entirely revised styling and, of course, reduced weight.
A teaser posted on Ducati’s official Instagram features the fuel tank of an older-generation Monster, accompanied by sketches of what the new-generation tank will look like, highlighting the same silhouette. In comparison, the current-gen Monster has a sleeker tank.

The teaser ends with a lit-up letter ‘M’, maybe hinting at a new tail-light design. At the front, we can expect to see a round headlight, a distinguishing element of all Monster models. The bike will be officially unveiled next week, where we will get all of the specifications in detail.
