Hadjar was furious after a yellow flag caused by Leclerc ruined his best F1 qualifying lap at Las Vegas GP, leaving him eighth instead of a possible top four finish.

Isack Hadjar walked away from qualifying furious — not at himself, not at the conditions, but at the yellow flag that killed what he insists was the best lap of his Formula 1 career so far.
The Racing Bulls rookie had been on a blistering final run in Q3, running well up on his delta and eyeing a spot as high as P4. Then Charles Leclerc slid off at Turn 12, the yellows came out, and Hadjar’s charge was over.
“We got screwed at the end by Charles,” he said bluntly. “He went out, there was a yellow flag, and that was it. I was way up on my lap, we were looking at the top four.”
Instead, he’ll start eighth, two spots behind teammate Liam Lawson. And while that result drew praise from TV crews, Hadjar wasn’t having any of it.
“They have absolutely no clue,” he snapped. “No, it should have been way better.”

Hadjar had been following Oscar Piastri when both encountered the yellow flags, nearly running into the back of the McLaren as the pair slowed. Piastri, also frustrated, will start fifth.
“We were quick, there’s no doubt about that,” the Australian said. “One way or another, things just aren’t going my way at the moment.”
For Hadjar, though, the day still delivered something meaningful: his first proper wet F1 qualifying. And he loved it.
“Honestly, so far this year, we’ve only driven in rain during races, with no visibility. Today was the first time I got to really try myself in the rain in an F1 car, and I enjoyed it. We are fast.”
As for what might have been? He doesn’t hesitate.
“Minimum fifth. I was seven tenths up. You do the math.”
