2025 Tata Sierra variants explained

After a two-decade hiatus, Tata Motors has revived the ‘Sierra’ nameplate. The all-new Sierra will be placed below the Harrier but above the Curvv in the automaker’s lineup. The midsize SUV boasts a boxy and muscular exterior with subtle design elements popularised by the old Sierra. Its minimalistic interior looks stylish and premium while also integrating modern features.

It is available with 6-speed manual and 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmissions. Then there is the 1.5-litre turbo-petrol mill with direct injection making 160hp and 255Nm. This motor is solely offered with a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.

The new Sierra also comes with a 1.5-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine, which develops 118hp. Tata Sierra rear quarter

While we do not have the official prices for all the Sierra’s variants at this moment, it is clear that the entry-level Smart + packs in a decent set of features. However, while its introductory price of Rs 11.49 lakh looks like great value, this variant appears to be missing an infotainment system. We will be updating this story with the prices (and other necessary details) as and when we get our hands on them.
