The results of the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2025 have been announced, revealing many inspiring stories from candidates across the country. One such example is a vegetable vendor’s daughter who succeeded in the exam, and now a tea vendor’s son has demonstrated that with determination, one can achieve anything regardless of circumstances.
Cleared UPSC Twice In A Row
Dev Dudeja, a resident of Chandausi in the Sambhal district of Uttar Pradesh, has cleared the UPSC Civil Services Examination for the second consecutive year. In his fourth attempt, he secured an All India Rank of 152. Last year, he also passed the Civil Services Examination with a Rank of 327, leading to his selection as Joint Commissioner in the Indian Revenue Service (IRS). Since December 2025, he has been undergoing training and made his fourth attempt during this period, succeeding once again. Now, his dream is to join the Indian Forest Service.
Father Sells Tea In Front Of College
Dev Dudeja’s father, Indramohan Dudeja, along with his two older brothers, runs a tea stall in front of SM Degree College to support their family. Dev’s mother, Chandraprabha, works as an assistant teacher at the Composite School in Village Mai. His younger brother, Sanket Dudeja, is pursuing a bachelor’s degree at Hindu College, Moradabad.
From IRS To Aspiring IFS
Dev completed his 12th grade in 2018 from R.R.K. School in the Science stream (PCM). He then earned a bachelor’s degree in Political Science in 2021. During his graduation, he began preparing for the UPSC Civil Services Examination.
In 2022, he cleared the UPSC Mains exam but did not succeed in the interview. In 2023, he started a postgraduate degree in Political Science from Delhi University and attempted the Civil Services Examination for the second time but did not pass. However, Dev did not give up and decided to take the exam again in 2024, this time securing the 327th rank and being selected for the IRS. While still in IRS training, he attempted the Civil Services Examination once more, achieving a rank of 152. Now, he plans to join the IFS.
