India-US trade facilitation portal to unlock new opportunities

Indian foreign secretary Vikram Misri yesterday virtually launched the India-US Trade Facilitation Portal to unlock new trade opportunities, improve ease of doing business, support micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and start-ups, and accelerate efforts to meet the $500-billion trade target by 2030, the Indian Ministry of External Affairs announced.

“I urge all members of industry bodies, export promotion councils [EPCs], and chambers from across India and the US to connect, make this portal part of your business and help turn it into a powerful engine for India-US trade,” Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal said in a video message at the launch.
