The Chhattisgarh Board’s Class 12 results have been announced, and this year’s state topper is Jigyasa Verma from Baloda Bazar, a small town in the district. By securing the highest marks in the Class 12 board examinations, Jigyasa has earned recognition across the entire state. After the results were declared, she spoke exclusively to News18 Hindi, sharing the story behind her success and her plans for the future.
Jigyasa says that ever since the results were announced, her phone has not stopped ringing. Relatives, friends, and neighbours have been calling continuously to congratulate her. Her entire family is overjoyed, and there is a celebratory atmosphere at home. “My family is extremely happy. My village and district have been honoured, and I feel very proud of that,” she says.
Speaking about her study pattern, Jigyasa explains that she never followed a strict timetable. She studied as much as she wanted, but ensured that she studied every single day. During the examination period, she completely stayed away from television and social media. Her family never put her under pressure; instead, they gently encouraged her from time to time. Jigyasa believes this relaxed yet disciplined approach was her biggest secret to success. With this method, she performed exceptionally well in Class 12, becoming the topper of the entire state of Chhattisgarh and even surpassing students from Raipur, which she considers a major achievement.
Now, Jigyasa’s next goal is clearly defined: she wants to prepare for the JEE. Immediately after her results were announced, she decided that she would begin her JEE preparation. She says she will now devote herself fully and focus completely on this objective.
