Once Patel departed, Kartik Sharma joined his captain to orchestrate a masterclass in game management. Gaikwad played the anchor role to perfection, finishing unbeaten on 67 off 48 balls*, while Kartik Sharma accelerated beautifully to score 54 off 40*.
