Tata has introduced top-of-the-line Ultra trims for the diesel-powered Harrier and Safari SUVs, priced from Rs 23.84 lakh and Rs 24.49 lakh, respectively. The carmaker has also launched Ultra Red Dark versions for the diesel versions of these SUVs.
- Ultra trim adds features such as a 14.53-inch infotainment system and a digital IRVM
- Red Dark editions get larger rims and red seat upholstery
Previously, only the petrol-powered Harrier and Safari offered the top Ultra trim with the suffix attached to their Fearless and Accomplished trims, respectively.
Tata Harrier and Safari diesel Ultra: What’s new?
The Ultra trim sits above the Fearless X+ in the Harrier’s line-up and above the Accomplished X+ in the Safari’s. For both SUVs, it adds features such as a larger 14.53-inch infotainment system with a Samsung display, Dolby Atmos, a digital interior rearview mirror (IRVM) with an in-built dashcam, a white-and-brown dual-tone interior theme, an app suite, on-board navigation, a memory function for the outside rearview mirrors (ORVMs), a sliding front armrest, a wash function for the front and rear parking cameras and a 65W Type-C charging port.
Additionally, the Ultra trim of both SUVs is also available in Red Dark Edition, which brings cosmetic changes such as 19-inch blacked-out alloy wheels with red brake calipers and an exclusive Nitro Crimson colour for the Harrier (in diesel guise). The cabin features a ‘Carnelian Red’ theme, with a red finish for the leatherette seats. Both the Harrier and Safari diesel are powered by a 2.0-litre turbo mill that delivers 170hp and 350Nm of torque, paired to a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque-converter automatic.
