After making her first appearance at this year’s Cannes Film Festival in a blue off-shoulder creation, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan soon stepped out in a flowy gown.
For the Light on Women’s Worth Gala, the Guru actor slipped into a powder pink draping that “flows into a chiffon cape,” from Sophie Couture. The outfit also featured floral jewellery appliqué, which added an element of bling to the look. According to the brand’s official website, Aishwarya’s dress is for USD 3700, which is approximately Rs 3,54,163.
Styled by Mohit Rai, Aishwarya allowed her outfit to do the talking, by wearing her hair in side-parted soft curls, and keeping her makeup minimal: a hint of eyeliner, blushed cheeks, and a hint of pink on her looks. The look was accessorised with sleek diamond danglers and rings.
Her daughter, Aaradhya, was also seen alongside, looking lovely in a red gown with a matching cape.
Earlier in the day, Aishwarya was seen in Amit Aggarwal Luminara, “a couture creation centred around the idea of light in motion.” The press note from the designer mentioned that the piece took over more than 1,500 hours of meticulous handwork and “explores light not simply as illumination, but as energy, movement, and force; translated through sculptural construction and engineered craftsmanship.”
Previously, she was spotted at the Mumbai airport hand-in-hand with daughter Aaradhya jetting off to the French Riviera to attend the closing ceremony of the 79th Cannes International Film Festival. Both were seen dressde in an all-black ensemble, with Aishwarya seen in a jewel-crusted blazer paired with straight black pants and matching heeled boots. Her sleek hair and signature red lips kept her look minimal yet glam.
Aaradhya wore a black-and-white shirt paired with a black bomber jacket.
