Expert Tips
- Make sure to use lukewarm water to activate the yeast. Very hot liquid can kill the yeast and the dough may not rise properly. Knead the dough until soft and smooth.
- Rest the dough properly. Proper proofing helps the breadsticks rise well and gives bakery style texture.
- Brush generous garlic butter on top immediately after baking. This keeps the breadstick soft and adds extra buttery garlic flavour.
- Lightly mark cuts on the dough before baking instead of cutting them full. This helps get the perfect breadsticks shape after baking.
- For cheesy pull, stuff the bread with mozzarella cheese before baking. It melts beautifully and gives a stretchy cheesy texture.
- For extra flavour, sprinkle more seasoning and chilli flakes on top before serving.
Storage and Serving
Store the leftover garlic breadsticks in an airtight container and it stays well in the refrigerator for 3 to 5 days. Reheat them in the oven or air fryer for a few minutes to make them warm and slightly crispy again.
Serve these garlic breadsticks hot with cheesy dip, pizza sauce or can be enjoyed on its own. For a complete meal, pair them with pasta, pizza, or soups for a restaurant style taste.
