In a landmark legal decision in favour of noted digital educator Faisal Khan, aka ‘Khan Sir,’ Patna Civil Court on Monday granted Khan Sir anticipatory bail in regard to the sensational coaching institute firing and vandalism case. The court also allowed the pre-arrest bail facility to three administrative staff members of his ed-tech institute. Moreover, the bench also accepted regular bail for his two security guards who were in judicial custody following the street clashes that broke out in early June.
Argument of private defense in context of institutional vandalism
The highly charged legal issue arises out of an incident of violent conflict that occurred outside Khan Sir’s coaching institute, which had been attacked and vandalized by a group of miscreants.

The two security guards stationed at the venue at the time fired shots to ward off the assailants. Defense lawyers established that the use of arms was an absolute measure of private defense in order to save the lives of both the students and faculty members involved, which proves lack of any criminal conspiracy.
Trial verdict & absolute relief
The order issued by the court brings absolute relief to the core group associated with Khan Sir after the court postponed its scheduled trial session on Friday owing to the absence of the district judge.
Defense counsel’s statement: “There have been six persons who have received absolute relief through the court order. First of all, Khan Sir has got the anticipatory bail order, followed by the pre-arrest relief of his three staff members and guards,” confirmed defense counsel Arvind Kumar Mouar to media outside the court premises.
Operational safeguards to the coaching institute re-established

It is worth mentioning that legal experts argue that the decision made by the Patna Civil Court in realizing the defensive aspect of these guards’ actions and protecting the institution’s administration, helps to restore operations in this region’s competitive exam coaching industry.
