The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has released the results of the IBPS PO/MT-XVI Preliminary Examination 2026. Candidates who appeared for the Probationary Officer/Management Trainee preliminary exam can check their results and scorecards through the official IBPS website, ibps.in.
The IBPS PO recruitment drive is being conducted for 7,565 vacancies for Probationary Officer (PO) and Management Trainee (MT) posts in participating public sector banks. Candidates who qualify in the preliminary examination will be eligible to appear for the IBPS PO Mains examination.
The preliminary examination was conducted on August 22 and 23, 2026. According to the recruitment schedule, the IBPS PO Mains exam is scheduled to be held on October 4, 2026.

Step 5 – Enter the captcha code and submit the details.
Step 6 – The IBPS PO Prelims result will appear on the screen.

Candidates who have qualified in the prelims should now focus on their preparation for the Mains examination. The IBPS PO Mains tests candidates across areas including Reasoning and Computer Aptitude, Data Analysis and Interpretation, English Language, and General/Economy/Banking Awareness. It also includes a descriptive component.
Candidates can focus on the following areas while preparing:
Current Affairs: Revise banking, financial and economic current affairs from the past four to six months.
Mock Tests: Attempt full-length Mains mock tests regularly and analyse mistakes after each test.
