Singer-songwriter Aman has released his second single, ‘Tanha Main’, following his debut track ‘Jaadugari’. Released under Raah Records, the music label of Yash Raj Films, the new song explores the feeling of missing someone during a temporary separation and the sense of incompleteness that can accompany their absence.
Aman releases second single ‘Tanha Main’ backed by Raah Records after debut track ‘Jaadugari’
Written and composed by Aman, ‘Tanha Main’ centres on the emotions that surface when someone close is away, even if only for a short time. The song touches upon longing, the need for reassurance and the small insecurities that can emerge when a familiar presence is missing from everyday life.
Rather than focusing on the end of a relationship, the track explores a more specific emotion: knowing that someone will return, but still finding it difficult to get through the time apart. Its central theme revolves around how the absence of one person can change the way ordinary moments feel.
‘Tanha Main’ combines Indie Pop with Indian instrumentation
Musically, the track brings together Indie Pop arrangements and traditional Indian instruments. The harmonium forms the foundation of the composition, while the tabla and dholak add rhythmic elements. The sarangi lends another layer to the arrangement, complementing the song’s theme of longing.
The combination gives ‘Tanha Main’ an Indian musical character while retaining the melodic approach of independent pop. The instrumentation also supports the song’s intimate storytelling, keeping the focus on the emotions at its centre.
Aman continues his journey with Raah Records
With ‘Tanha Main’, Aman follows up on the musical direction introduced through ‘Jaadugari’. The two releases mark the early stages of his journey as a singer-songwriter under Raah Records, where he continues to explore personal themes through original compositions.
The latest single brings together his songwriting, composition and interest in Indian musical influences, offering another look at the sound he is developing as an independent artist.
