The goal against the Premier League club was Yamal’s 14th in the premier European competition. He broke the previous record held by Kylian Mbappe.
Mbappe had scored 13 goals as a teenager in the UEFA Champions League for AS Roma and Paris Saint-Germain. Meanwhile, Erling Haaland is in third place with 10 goals as a teenager. The Norway striker represented RB Salzburg and Borussia Dortmund in the UEFA Champions League as a teenager.
