At the time of acquiring Apparel Brands, Myer Group indicated that an invitation would be extended to Mr Lew to join the Board given the Lew Group would become Myer Group’s largest shareholder.
Myer Holdings has appointed Solomon Lew as a Non-Executive Director, effective September 24, 2026, with Mark Middeldorf named as his alternate director.
The move follows Lew Group becoming Myer Group’s largest shareholder after the Apparel Brands acquisition.
Myer said Lew’s retail expertise and shareholder alignment would support long-term value creation.
Myer Group Executive Chair Olivia Wirth said: “We are pleased to welcome Sol to the Board. His deep retail expertise and strong economic alignment to Myer Group as our largest shareholder will be important in helping to drive long-term value creation for all our shareholders. Sol knows the retail sector inside and out. We are confident that the Board and Myer Group will benefit greatly from his vast experience and expertise.”
Myer Group Non-Executive Director Solomon Lew said: “I look forward to joining the Board. There is significant change underway and many opportunities ahead, and I look forward to working with the Board and management to help guide the Group’s future direction.”
This announcement was authorised by the Board of Myer Holdings Limited.
