The 30 nominees for the 2026 Ballon d’Or have been revealed. Lionel Messi has received his 17th nomination for the Ballon d’Or after a riveting World Cup campaign with finalist Argentina, following which he announced his international retirement, while Cristiano Ronaldo, who leads the list with a record 18 nominations, has missed out again.

As expected, the list takes heavy concentration of talent among top European clubs, dominated by UEFA Champions League winners Paris Saint-Germain. PSG features ten players on the list, including recent transfers.

Real Madrid and Bayern Munich follow with four players each, while La Liga winners Barcelona and Premier League champions Arsenal both have three representatives. The remaining spots are filled by single players representing Manchester City, Manchester United, Inter Milan, Inter Miami, Al-Nassr, and Al-Qadsiah.
