The Bihar School Examination Board is conducting compartmental exams alongside special exams for students who failed in the matriculation exam. These exams are scheduled to begin from May 4 to May 11. In the Madhubani district, five exam centres have been set up for the examinations. This year, a total of 2187 students from the district will appear in these exams. District Education Officer Javed Alam confirmed that all centre superintendents have received the necessary instructions.

According to the District Education Officer, Rameshwar Plus-2 High School, Rajnagar High School, Watson Plus-2 High School Madhubani, Middle School Bhowara, and Girls High School Rajnagar have been selected as exam centres. Measures have been taken to prevent cheating during the exams. The exams will have two shifts: the morning session from 9:30 am to 12:45 pm and the afternoon session from 2 pm to 5:15 pm.

Recently, the District Education Officer informed Local18 that candidates will receive an additional 15 minutes in each exam shift to review the question paper. For visually impaired candidates, the Bihar Board has specified that they can opt for Home Science instead of Mathematics and Music instead of Science, based on the old syllabus. Visually impaired candidates will take the Music exam instead of Science on May 9 and Home Science instead of Mathematics on May 10, both in the first exam shift.

The Bihar Board announced the results of the 10th exams on March 31. The pass rate was 82.91 per cent, which is higher than last year’s rate of 81.04 per cent. On the other hand, the Intermediate results were announced by the board on March 23. Among the 1,291,684 students who took the exam, 1,126,439 passed, which amounts to an overall pass percentage of 87.21.

This Compartment exam offers Bihar Board 10 and 12 students another chance to pass their classes if they fail in two or more subjects. Meanwhile, the Special exam is for students who missed the annual exam due to delays in form submission.
