P. Shroff-trained D’artagnan (Yash up) won the Zavaray S. Poonawalla Bangalore Summer Derby (2,000m), the stellar attraction of the races held here on Sunday (July 12).

Yash confidently kept his colt a handy third position till the bend before manoeuvring the mount from wide outside in the home stretch. D’artagnan responded well to the reminders, started galloping tremendously and overtook the leader Knotty Emperor while passing the last 100m to win resolutely.
The BTC felicitated jockey P. Trevor for completing his 2000th win recently in Bangalore and Usha Stud Farm for 400th Classic win.
