Two front panels carry a hand-painted golden ‘V’, standing in for both “victory” and “Vuitton,” rendered in colours that echo the FIFA World Cup Trophy itself. The exterior is finished with signature leather trim known as lozines, alongside gold-plated brass corner protectors, and a lock and clasps styled after designs the house has used since the 1860s. Inside, the trunk is lined with light beige leather, with a partnership logo shared between Louis Vuitton and FIFA built into the lid — a detail most fans will never see up close, but one that speaks to the level of craftsmanship going into a piece built to hold football’s biggest prize. The partnership isn’t stopping at the Trophy Trunk. Louis Vuitton is also releasing a limited-edition collection of three trunks inspired by it, each carrying the same golden ‘V’ and a hand-painted rendering of the FIFA World Cup Trophy. The trunk itself is built to protect a trophy that weighs 6.175 kilograms and is crafted from 18-carat gold and malachite — carried onto the pitch on final day by a football icon and a Louis Vuitton ambassador. This is far from Louis Vuitton’s only brush with sport. Owned by LVMH, the house holds a 10-year contract to craft bespoke trophy trunks for major Formula 1 Grands Prix, served as the Australian Open’s Official Trophy Trunk Partner in 2026, and has returned to the America’s Cup as Title Partner of its 37th edition — proof that its sporting playbook runs far deeper than football alone.
