DigiLocker steps for GATE 2027 registration
Sign in using a verified DigiLocker account; pick the verified profile if duplicates appear. General, OBC-NCL, and EWS candidates upload nothing. SC or ST upload CATEGORY.pdf inside a “GATE2027” folder. PwD upload UDID_CERT.pdf or PWD_CERT.pdf as instructed. Name and date of birth auto-fetch from DigiLocker.
GATE 2027 photo and signature specifications
Use a color passport photo on a white background, 200×260 to 530×690 pixels, 5–600 kB. Signature must be dark blue or black, 250×80 to 580×180 pixels; digital signatures aren’t allowed. Wrong sizes, glare, or shadows cause defects; non-rectified defects risk rejection.
Eligibility and smart paper selection for GATE 2027
Third-year or higher undergraduates across Engineering, Science, Commerce, Arts, Architecture, and Humanities are eligible. No age limit applies. You may opt for two papers from allowed combinations; align choices with your degree and goals. Check the new Robotics and Automation paper and revised syllabi.
PSU-through-GATE 2027: opportunities and limits
Many Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) consider valid GATE scores, including IOCL, ONGC, NTPC, and POWERGRID. MoE-supported institutes offer scholarships for qualifying scores, but selection remains institute or employer controlled. Treat GATE as an enabler, not a guarantee, and target application-ready documents before September 27.
