Haryana Schools to Remain Closed on July 30-31 for HTET 2025 Exam.

Haryana School Holiday: All schools designated as centres for the Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) 2025 will remain closed on July 30 and 31, the Board of School Education, Haryana (BSEH), Bhiwani, has announced. While July 30 has been declared a holiday specifically due to the exam, July 31 is already a gazetted holiday in the state on account of Shaheed Udham Singh Martyrdom Day.

The board has issued instructions to all district and block education officers to ensure compliance with the directive. The closure applies only to schools functioning as HTET exam centres.

Over 4 lakh candidates expected to take the exam at 673 centres. According to officials, the Level-3 (PGT) exam will take place on July 30 (3 pm to 5:30 pm), while the Level-2 (TGT) and Level-1 (PRT) exams are scheduled for July 31 in two shifts — 10 am to 12:30 pm and 3 pm to 5:30 pm, respectively.

To ensure smooth and fair conduct of the exam, the Directorate of School Education has issued instructions to all District Education Officers (DEOs) and District Elementary Education Officers (DEEOs) to strictly follow the guidelines provided by the board. Schools that will serve as exam centres on July 30 have been declared a holiday for that day.

Dr Munish Nagpal, Secretary of BSEH, said that strict security and surveillance arrangements have been made. All candidates will undergo metal detector checks and biometric verification at entry points. CCTV cameras will monitor all centres in real-time from a central command and control room at the board’s headquarters.

To strengthen anti-cheating measures, Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools will be used to detect suspicious behaviour. Around 220 special checking teams have been formed, and full-time observers from both the education board and district administration will be stationed at every exam centre. There will also be police deployment around all centres.

Nagpal warned that any candidate or staff member found involved in malpractice will face strict disciplinary action, and official negligence will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
