There are few key tips and trick to follow whenever you make bread, buns or rolls. The first and foremost step is activating yeast. Many of you fail to get the perfect bread because your yeast is not active.
Yeast should be active to make your bread dough rise and get fluffy. Once you add yeast to warm water along with sugar the mixture should get foamy. This indicates your yeast is active.
Once yeast is activated then it all comes to kneading. I used stand mixer, you can use hand mixer with dough hook attachment. You can also use hands to knead, but it will take a bit of time. So I recommend mixer.
Knead your dough for atleast 10 minutes to activate the gluten, by this time the dough will pass the window pane test as well. Check my white bread recipe for details.
To check, Take a small ball of the dough and stretch it into a square. Keep on stretching until it becomes a thin film in the middle without breaking. The dough must be thin enough to pass light through it. If it is obtained without any tear, then your dough is properly kneaded.
If you get your dough right, then it will be proofed, shaped and baked to a perfect hot dog rolls. You can use the same dough to make buns or bread.
