CBSE clarifies re-evaluation portal is working smoothly amid student complaints.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has responded to concerns raised by students regarding issues with the re-evaluation and answer sheet access portal. The Board clarified that the online portal for applying to obtain scanned copies of Class 12 answer books is now operating smoothly and that a large number of students have already submitted their applications successfully.

In an official post on X, CBSE stated, “The online application portal for obtaining scanned copies of Class XII answer books is now functioning smoothly, and applications are being submitted successfully.”

According to the Board, more than 1.27 lakh students had successfully registered requests for over 3.87 lakh scanned answer sheets by 7:30 pm on May 20. “1,27,146 applications for obtaining 3,87,399 scanned answer books were submitted successfully by 7:30 pm on 20.05.26, within three hours of the portal opening,” CBSE said.

The Board also reshared the official application link for students seeking scanned copies of their answer sheets: pvr.cbseit.in/pvr/.

CBSE advised students to remain patient in case of delays due to heavy traffic on the portal. It noted that some users may temporarily face issues, especially related to payment status updates, and urged students not to submit multiple requests.

The clarification came hours after CBSE had announced that technical issues with the portal would be resolved by 2 pm on May 20. However, several students later reported login failures, CAPTCHA errors, server glitches, and payment-related problems.

Earlier in the day, CBSE also issued a fact-check dismissing allegations that the scanning of answer books under the On-Screen Marking (OSM) system had been compromised due to lack of preparation or time constraints.

Calling the claims “factually incorrect,” CBSE said the Board remains committed to fairness, transparency, and integrity in the examination and evaluation process.

The Board further emphasized that every stage of the OSM process — including scanning, quality checks, marking, and evaluation — was conducted according to established procedures and under continuous supervision.
