Hyundai to hike car prices from May 2026 – Introduction

Hyundai has announced that prices of its models will be hiked by 1 percent from May 2026. While model-specific price increment has not been disclosed, the manufacturer has stated in a stock exchange filing that “the quantum of increase will vary based on the variants and models.”

  1. Depending on the model, prices will increase from Rs 5,500 to Rs 4.63 lakh
  2. Rising input costs are attributed to the price hike announcement
  3. Hyundai had earlier raised prices by 0.6 percent in January

Hyundai justified the price hike in its stock exchange filing, stating, “the escalating input costs have necessitated to pass on a part of this impact through a marginal price revision.”
