The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) is expected to announce the results of the Chartered Accountants Intermediate Examination held in September 2026 by the evening of October 22, the institute stated in an official notice. The institute has, however, not specified an exact time for the result declaration.
“The results of the Chartered Accountants Intermediate Examination held in September 2026 is likely to be declared by the evening of 22nd October 2026 and the same can be accessed by candidates on the website caresults.icai.org,” reads the official notice.
Candidates who appeared for the exam will be able to check their results online at the official website, caresults.icai.org, icai.nic.in, and icaiexam.icai.org. They will need to enter their registration number, roll number, and password on the official website. Candidates should keep their registration number and roll number ready before accessing the result portal. These details will be required to retrieve their scorecards.
ICAI CA Intermediate Result 2026: How To Check
Candidates can follow these steps to check and download their results:
Step 1 – Students can check the ICAI CA Inter Result 2026 by visiting the official website and select the result link.
Step 2 – To log in, enter your six-digit roll number, registration number or PIN, and the captcha code, then click on “Submit.”
Step 3 – The result will appear on the screen.
Step 4 – Check the marksheet and merit list.
Step 5 – Candidates are advised to download and save their digital marksheet for future reference.
The CA Intermediate September 2026 examinations were conducted from September 1 to 12.
A candidate who secures at least 70% marks in all intermediate exam papers is regarded as having passed with distinction. Students who clear the CA inter exams will next have to appear for the CA Final exam. Under the new system, the CA Final exam will now be conducted in May and November. Earlier, it was held three times a year in January, May, and September.
CA exams usually have a low pass rate. In the CA Intermediate January 2026 exam, 41,798 candidates who appeared for both groups, 3,924 qualified, resulting in a pass percentage of 9.39%. While in the May 2026 results, of the 33,304 candidates who appeared for the Group I and Group II exams, 2,820 passed taking the pass rate to only 8.47%.
