Kartik Aaryan has shared an update with fans after undergoing knee surgery. The actor injured himself while shooting an action sequence for his upcoming film with Kabir Khan.
On Sunday, Kartik posted a series of pictures and videos on Instagram. One photo shows him in a knee brace, while another has a simple message written across it that reads, “Foot out of service.”
He also shared a black-and-white picture from what appears to be a Mumbai hospital. Among the pictures was also a photo of his pet dog.
He captioned the post with a reference to his injury, writing, “Kabir sir said – Break a leg.”
Kabir Khan had a funny response to the post. He wrote in the comments, “HaHaha… Bhai Har baat itni seriously mat sunna karo.”
Kartik Aaryan’s Surgery Was Successful
Kartik injured his knee while performing an action sequence on the sets of his upcoming film. He was taken to Fortis Raheja Hospital in Mumbai, where he underwent surgery.
His spokesperson confirmed that the surgery was successful and that Kartik is now back home.
The actor is expected to rest for a few days before returning to work.
Kartik Had Injured His Knee During Shehzada Too
This is not the first time Kartik has hurt his knee while shooting. He had also suffered a knee injury while filming Shehzada, which was released in 2023.
The latest injury comes just weeks after Kartik won the Best Actor in a Leading Role award at the 72nd National Film Awards. He received the honour for playing Paralympic gold medallist Murlikant Petkar in Chandu Champion.
The film was directed by Kabir Khan, with whom Kartik is now working again.
