The Maharashtra State Council of Examination has issued the notification for the Maharashtra Teacher Eligibility Test (MAHA TET) 2026. According to the notification, the registration process starts today, March 27, and will continue till April 16. To apply, candidates must visit the official website, mahatet.in, complete the online form, upload the necessary documents, and pay the prescribed application fee.

MAHA TET is conducted in Maharashtra to assess the eligibility of candidates who wish to teach at the primary (Classes 1 to 5) and upper primary (Classes 6 to 8) levels in schools. As per the official notice, the Maharashtra TET 2026 exam will be held on June 21, in two sessions. Paper 1 is scheduled from 10:30 AM to 1 PM, while Paper 2 will take place from 2:30 PM to 5 PM.

The hall ticket download link will be available from June 9, and candidates can download their admit cards up to June 21. Candidates must print the hall ticket and carry it to the examination centre along with a valid photo ID proof.

Step 3: Register yourself by entering your name, mobile number, and email ID.

Step 4: Fill in the application form with personal, academic, and contact information.

Step 5: Upload the required documents and pay the application fee.

Step 6: Carefully verify all the details before submitting the form.

Step 7: Download and save the confirmation page for future reference.

Maharashtra TET Exam Pattern

The exam is conducted in Marathi, English, Urdu, Bengali, Gujarati, Telugu, Sindhi, Kannada, and Hindi. Each paper consists of 150 multiple-choice questions. Candidates receive one mark for each correct response. There is no negative marking for incorrect answers, and no marks are deducted for questions left unanswered. Using the answer key and response sheet along with the marking scheme, candidates can estimate their probable scores.
