The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) is expected to announce the NEET PG 2026 result and answer key soon. According to the board’s schedule, the NEET PG 2026 result is expected to be declared by September 30, 2026. However, NBEMS has not yet announced the exact result date. The qualifying cut-off percentiles for different categories will also be announced along with the result.
This year, while the main exam was conducted across the country on August 30, a technical disruption at two examination centres in Jaipur forced more than 2,000 candidates to retake the test.
At two centres in Sitapura, Jaipur, a power outage caused computer systems to shut down during the examination, disrupting the test for 2,445 candidates. NBEMS subsequently conducted a re-examination for the affected candidates on September 5. The re-exam was completed without any reported disruptions.
Now, more than 2.65 lakh candidates are awaiting the answer key.
The NBEMS schedule sets September 30 as the deadline for the declaration of the NEET PG result. The date also coincides with the deadline for completion of the mandatory MBBS internship for candidates seeking eligibility for NEET PG 2026, as specified under the applicable medical education regulations.

What Happens After The NEET PG Result?
Once the NEET PG 2026 result is declared, the counselling process will follow. 50 per cent of postgraduate medical seats under the All India Quota (AIQ) will be filled through counselling conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), while the remaining seats will be filled through the respective state counselling processes, subject to the applicable rules.
Candidates should keep their documents ready, including their MBBS degree, medical registration certificate, internship completion certificate and category certificate, wherever applicable. They should rely only on the official NBEMS website for the result, scorecard and other examination-related updates.
