Which Seats Will Be Covered Under MCC Counselling?
MCC conducts counselling for 50% All India Quota (AIQ) postgraduate medical seats. The counselling also covers eligible postgraduate seats in Deemed Universities, Central Universities and Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) institutions, as specified under the MCC counselling framework. Admissions include postgraduate medical programmes such as MD and MS and other seats covered by the applicable counselling scheme.
Candidates should remember that state quota seats are handled by the respective state counselling authorities and are not part of the 50% AIQ counselling conducted by MCC.
What Should Candidates Do Before NEET PG Counselling Registration?
NEET PG 2026-qualified candidates should keep their NEET PG admit card, scorecard, MBBS degree and marksheets, medical registration certificate, internship completion certificate and other required documents ready before registration. Candidates applying under reserved or PwD categories should also keep the relevant certificates available.
It is also advisable to review the available colleges, courses and seat matrix before filling choices. Candidates should prepare a priority order of preferred MD/MS courses and colleges so that choices can be entered carefully during the prescribed window.

Candidates can register online through the official MCC website at mcc.nic.in once Round 1 registration opens.
