The Railway Recruitment Boards have deferred today’s JE CBT-1 at select Andhra Pradesh centres. The decision cites Cyclone Arnab and safety concerns along the coast. Candidates outside Andhra Pradesh should note exams continue as scheduled. Shifts on 27 October 2026 also proceed without changes.
New date and venue for postponed candidates will be announced shortly. Likely affected cities include Srikakulam, Visakhapatnam, Rajahmundry, and Vijayawada. Please confirm your centre status through city intimation, e‑mail, or SMS. Treat any non‑AP centre communication as final unless your board notifies otherwise.
RRB JE CBT-1 postponed: what exactly changes for 28 October 2026?
Only the 28 October 2026 CBT‑1 at select Andhra Pradesh centres stands deferred. Admit cards remain valid for the rescheduled date, as instructed. Candidates scheduled outside Andhra Pradesh must report as per original timing. Do not skip your exam unless your centre appears in the deferment list.
Andhra Pradesh centres affected: cities to watch and how to confirm
Monitor messages referencing Srikakulam, Visakhapatnam, Rajahmundry, and Vijayawada for status updates. Communication may arrive through city‑intimation slips, registered e‑mail, or SMS. If uncertain, contact your regional Railway Recruitment Board only after checking portals. Avoid crowding helplines with generic queries while notices are being compiled.
Next steps for candidates: e‑call letter, documents, and Aadhaar e‑KYC
Keep your existing e‑call letter ready for the revised date and venue. Carry the same identification documents mentioned in your original admit card. Complete Aadhaar electronic Know Your Customer (e‑KYC) if the board requests re‑authentication. Save confirmation screenshots and keep your registered phone reachable at all times.
RRB JE CBT-1 exam planning: travel, accommodation, and preparation tweaks
Postponement may affect tickets and stay plans for coastal candidates and guardians. Prefer flexible bookings and track local weather before setting out again. Use the extra time to revise weak topics and full‑length mocks. Keep your health kit, power bank, and original identification secured and handy.
The key message is simple for 28 October 2026 candidates at Andhra Pradesh centres. Wait for the consolidated reschedule notice and retain your e‑call letter. Do not seek individual changes at unaffected centres or dates. Track regional RRB updates closely so your exam day remains smooth and safe.
