A trader from Mumbai market told Fibre*Fashion, “Demand for carded yarn has improved over the past two days, with healthy buying enquiries emerging in the market. Expectations of stronger global economic activity and declining local inventories have improved sentiment. Buyers believe cotton yarn prices across most varieties and counts have already bottomed out.”
In Mumbai, ** carded yarns of warp and weft varieties were traded at &#****;*,***–*,*** (~$**.**–**.**) and &#****;*,***–*,*** (~$**.**–**.**) per * kg (excluding GST), respectively. Other prices included ** combed warp at &#****;***–*** (~$*.**–*.**) per kg, ** carded weft at &#****;*,***–*,*** (~$**.**–**.**) per *.* kg, **/** carded warp at &#****;***–*** (~$*.**–*.**) per kg, **/** carded warp at &#****;***–*** (~$*.**–*.**) per kg, and **/** combed warp at &#****;***–*** (~$*.**–*.**) per kg, according to trade sources.
