A total of 882,806 regular school students and 13,744 private candidates appeared for the exam.
The evaluation of the TN 10th grade answer sheets starts today. The Directorate of Government Examinations has issued a circular to district education officers, instructing them to allocate centres based on the number of students who appeared for the examination in each district. It has been directed that all eligible teachers be deployed to complete the correction work without delay.
The circular further advises that teachers who teach Tamil should evaluate only Tamil answer sheets, and teachers who teach English should evaluate only English answer sheets. Officials have stated that the examination department plans to release the results on May 20, after the completion of the correction process.
It is noteworthy that last year’s Class 10 results were released on May 16, whereas this year they will be announced on May 20 due to the elections. Once the results are released, students can check them on the official websites tnresults.nic.in and dge.tn.gov.in using their registration number and date of birth. Students and parents are advised to wait for the official announcement and not to believe false information circulating on social media.
