India’s textile industry has spent the past few years discussing artificial intelligence largely in terms of factory productivity. AI-powered quality inspection, predictive maintenance, demand forecasting and automated planning have all promised to make textile manufacturing faster and more efficient. But India’s latest AI initiative points to a potentially bigger opportunity.
On August **, the Cotton Textiles Export Promotion Council (TEXPROCIL) launched Phase * of its AI-Powered Textile Trust Stack, in collaboration with RePut.ai and Control Union under the Ministry of Textiles’ TEX-RAMPS initiative.
