
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced recruitment for Assistant Provident Fund Commissioner (APFC) posts in the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO). A total of 80 vacancies will be filled through the recruitment drive, with applications scheduled to open on August 22, 2026. Candidates applying for the APFC post must fulfil the educational, age and other eligibility requirements prescribed by UPSC. The upper age limit is 35 years for candidates belonging to the UR and EWS categories. Certain other categories are also eligible for age relaxation. EPFO employees can get five years of relaxation. The same five-year relaxation applies to eligible ex-servicemen and Commissioned Officers, including Emergency Commissioned Officers and Short Service Commissioned Officers. Eligible Central or Union Territory government servants can also avail themselves of five years of age relaxation, while candidates belonging to the PwD category can get up to 10 years of relaxation, subject to applicable rules.

The selection process will include a written examination followed by a personal interview. Candidates will be shortlisted for the subsequent stage based on their performance in the recruitment examination and will have to appear for the interview as prescribed by UPSC.
