Real Madrid superstar Vinicius Junior, who scored four goals for Brazil at the FIFA World Cup 2026, has been included in Brazil’s 26-member squad for the FIFA international friendly against India in October. Five-time FIFA World Cup winners Brazil will face the Indian men’s football team in Kolkata on October 3, with the match scheduled to be played at the iconic Salt Lake Stadium.

Brazil head coach Carlo Ancelotti named the 26 players who will feature in Brazil’s upcoming international friendly matches on Wednesday (September 9). In addition to Vinicius, the squad includes Real Madrid’s Endrick, Barcelona captain Raphinha, and Arsenal midfielder Bruno Guimaraes. All three players were also part of Brazil’s FIFA World Cup 2026 squad.

Chelsea forward Joao Pedro, who was not selected for the FIFA World Cup, has also been included in the squad, along with Arsenal defender Gabriel and PSG captain Marquinhos. However, there was no place for Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker, Manchester United forward Matheus Cunha, Al Hilal’s Gabriel Martinelli, Inter Miami’s Casemiro and Trabzonspor’s Fabinho.

All five players were part of Brazil’s FIFA World Cup 2026 squad in North America this summer.

Brazil will play two international friendly matches against Australia in September before travelling to India for the historic fixture in Kolkata.
