When the National Testing Agency (NTA) declared the JEE Main 2026 Session 2 Paper 1 (BE/BTech) results on Monday, it saw 26 candidates, including 12 from the January session, emerging with a perfect 100 percentile.

Two southern states, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, shone particularly bright, together contributing 10 of the 26 perfect scorers. Telangana, already known for its coaching culture, produced five toppers: Mantha Shiva Kamesh, Rishi Premnath, Sai Rithvik Reddy Venkatreddy Valla, Vivan Sharad Mahiswari, and Doranala Bhavitesh Reddy. Four of these toppers belong to the General category, helping take the national tally of General category toppers to 24. Among them, Sai Rithvik Reddy Venkatreddy Valla stood out further by securing the top rank in the General-EWS category.

But Telangana’s success story did not end with the 100 percentilers. The state also found representation across various categories. In the ST category, where there were only five toppers nationwide, one name came from Telangana: Mokalla Sharath Chandra. For candidates with benchmark disabilities, the State’s pride was Nanala Naga Chaitanya, who emerged as a topper in the Persons with Benchmark Disabilities category. Adding to this was the female topper from Telangana, Mallavarapu Aasna who also secured 100 percentile.

In Andhra Pradesh, another set of five students etched their names into the 100 percentile list: Pasala Mohith, Bijjam Venkata Chandra Sekhar Reddy, Thunga Durga Suprabhath, Jonnala Roshan Manideep Reddy, and Narendrababu Gari Mahith.

A closer look at the toppers shows that discipline and hard work were their common traits. They built a strong foundation and started early, even before formal JEE preparation, supported by structured coaching in which each day included mock tests simulating the real exam environment, followed by a thorough review of their mistakes.

JEE Main Performance In Other States

Rajasthan, with its robust coaching ecosystem, produced four toppers in the 100 percentile bracket: Kabeer Chhillar, Arnav Gautam, Yashwardhan, and Chiranjib Kar. From Delhi, three students — Aditya Gupta, Shreyas Mishra, and Atharva Panjabi — achieved perfect scores. Maharashtra had two toppers — Madhav Viradiya and Siddharth Shrikant Athaley — and so did Haryana, with Anay Jain and Arnav Gandhi.
