Aam Aadmi Party Convenor and Delhi’s former chief minister, Arvind Kejriwal, on Wednesday lambasted the Centre over the NEET-UG 2026 paper leak controversy and said that the majority of such incidents have happened under the BJP’s rule.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) cancelled the May 3 medical entrance examination, NEET-UG 2026, after a whistle-blower-triggered probe found evidence of a paper leak.

More than 22 lakh aspirants are now awaiting fresh exam dates as the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is investigating the matter.

Speaking on the NEET controversy, which has taken the nation by storm, Kejriwal said, “Since the Modi govt has come to power in 2014, there have been 93 instances of exam paper leak. The majority of the paper leaks have happened under the BJP govts. This affected 6 crore youth. Most paper leak incidents happened in BJP-ruled states of Rajasthan, UP, Uttarakhand and Gujarat.”

“It is not a coincidence that there are BJP governments in these states at the Centre. We are getting reports that the epicentre of the recent NEET paper leak is Rajasthan. It creates a doubt – are their leaders involved? If it is so, then what can CBI do?” he added.

Kejriwal Invokes Gen-Z Protests In Nepal, Bangladesh

AAP convenor further invoked the Gen-Z protests, which had toppled the governments in Nepal and Bangladesh and questioned why the Gen-Z of this country can’t send the ministers responsible for this behind bars.

“I want to ask the Gen-Z: Should this continue? If the Gen-Z of Nepal and Bangladesh can come out on the roads and change their governments, then can’t our Gen-Z send ministers involved in the paper leak incidents to jail? I have full faith in you,” said Kejriwal.

Kejriwal Raises Question Over CBI’s Credibility

Kejriwal said that the CBI is once again investigating the case and questioned if the institution should be trusted anymore.

“The NEET paper has been leaked, and like every time before, the investigation has once again been handed over to the CBI. Like every time, the CBI has arrested 10–15 people. And like every time, within three or four months, all of them will be released on bail. Then, just like every year, these same criminals will start preparing to leak next year’s NEET paper again. I want to ask all of you, aren’t you tired of hearing the same thing again and again? It has become such a worn-out script, such a repetitive story. Is there any trust left in the CBI anymore?” Kejriwal said.
